About the Journal

CHI’E: JURNAL PENDIDIKAN BAHASA JEPANG, (E-ISSN: 2685-6662, P-ISSN:2252-6250) is an OPEN-ACCESS, Peer-reviewed, International Journal has the perspectives of Japanese languages, literature and language teachings. This journal has the Focus and Scope of presenting and discussing some outstanding contemporary issues dealing with Japanese Language Teaching, Japanese Literature & Japanese Linguistics.
This journal is published every March and October by Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Indonesia, and accredited by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of the Republic of Indonesia in SINTA (Achieving Sinta 3) since Volume 9 No. 2, 2021. The recognition was published in Director Decree (SK No. 1429/E5.3/HM.01.01/2022, effective until volume 14 No. 1, 2026.

Chi`e: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang (E-ISSN: 2685-6662, P-ISSN:2252-6250) is an invaluable peer-reviewed regional journal covering the latest research and fresh ideas around ASIA about the Japanese language education, Japanese linguistic, Japanese Literature and culture, which have never been published before.  Peer review process

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow the focus scope and author guidelines. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed by at least 2(two) reviewers who will either be members of the editorial board or others of similar standing in the field. The accepted research articles will be available online following the journal peer-reviewing process. The language used in the journal is English or Indonesian.

The paper submitted to the journal must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Every paper submitted will be scanned for plagiarism before it is sent to the reviewer. Editors use Turnitin software to detect plagiarism in manuscripts in this journal.

Chi'e: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang (E-ISSN: 2685-6662, P-ISSN:2252-6250) is scheduled for publication in March and October. 

The authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, the article's copyright shall be assigned to CHIE: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang and Department of Japanese Language Education Semarang State University as the journal's publisher.
