Publication Ethics
The Indonesian Journal of Agrarian Law is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics in line with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Our goal is to ensure integrity, transparency, and fairness throughout the entire publication process, safeguarding the interests of authors, editors, reviewers, and the academic community.
Authors are expected to submit original research that has not been published elsewhere and to avoid any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification. Proper citation of sources and disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest or funding are mandatory. Authors must provide accurate data and cooperate fully with the editorial team to address any ethical concerns related to their work.
Editors are responsible for overseeing the peer review process with impartiality and confidentiality, making decisions based solely on the quality, originality, and relevance of the manuscripts. They must avoid conflicts of interest and ensure that all submissions are treated fairly and evaluated in a timely manner.
Reviewers play a vital role by providing objective, constructive, and confidential assessments of manuscripts. They are expected to declare any conflicts of interest and focus solely on the scholarly merits of the work, offering feedback that supports the improvement of the research.
Furthermore, The Indonesian Journal of Agrarian Law strictly prohibits duplicate submissions and redundant publications to maintain the originality and integrity of the scholarly record. Manuscripts under review must not be simultaneously submitted to other journals, and published articles should not be republished elsewhere without proper citation and permission. The journal is vigilant against all forms of publication misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and unethical authorship practices.
In the event of any allegations or suspicions of misconduct, the journal commits to conducting a prompt, thorough, and transparent investigation following the best practices recommended by COPE. All parties involved—authors, reviewers, and editors—will be given an opportunity to respond fairly. If misconduct is confirmed, appropriate actions will be taken, which may include rejection of manuscripts, correction notices, or full retractions of published articles.
Corrections or retractions will be clearly indicated and linked to the original publications to preserve the integrity and accuracy of the academic record. This process ensures that the journal maintains trust within the academic community and contributes responsibly to the advancement of agrarian law scholarship.
