Journal Policy

The Indonesian Journal of Agrarian Law is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and quality throughout the publication process. This comprehensive policy outlines the responsibilities and expectations of all parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to ensure a fair, ethical, and rigorous scholarly environment.

1. Scope and Submission

The journal accepts original, unpublished manuscripts within the field of agrarian law and related disciplines. Submissions must not be under review elsewhere. Authors are required to follow the journal’s formatting and ethical guidelines strictly.

2. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review where authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure impartiality. At least two independent experts assess each manuscript for originality, relevance, rigor, and contribution. Editorial decisions are based on these reviews.

3. Publication Ethics and Anti-Plagiarism

The journal complies with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) standards. Authors must ensure originality, proper citation, and disclose any conflicts of interest. Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using advanced software, with a maximum acceptable similarity score of 20% (excluding references and standard phrases). Plagiarism, duplicate submissions, and data fabrication are strictly prohibited.

4. Handling Misconduct

Allegations of ethical violations—including plagiarism, data falsification, or unethical authorship—are investigated promptly and confidentially according to COPE guidelines. Confirmed misconduct may result in manuscript rejection, publication correction, or full retraction to maintain scholarly integrity.

5. Retraction and Corrections

The journal reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions if serious issues arise post-publication that affect the reliability or validity of the published work. Retractions are clearly linked to the original article to preserve the academic record’s transparency.

6. Authorship Changes and Manuscript Withdrawal

The Indonesian Journal of Agrarian Law does not permit any changes to authorship order or the addition/removal of authors after manuscript submission unless exceptional circumstances arise, which must be justified with written consent from all authors and approval from the Editor-in-Chief. Manuscript withdrawal is discouraged once the peer review process has commenced; authors wishing to withdraw must provide valid reasons and understand that frequent withdrawals may affect future submissions.

7. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright while granting the journal permission to publish and disseminate their work under an open-access license, facilitating wide accessibility while protecting author rights.

8. Publication Frequency and Fast Track Policy

The journal publishes three issues annually—in March, July, and November—and does not offer fast-track publication. This ensures a thorough and consistent peer review and editorial process.

Through adherence to these policies, The Indonesian Journal of Agrarian Law strives to foster a trustworthy, ethical, and academically rigorous platform, advancing scholarship in agrarian law both within Indonesia and internationally.
