Peer Review Policy
The Indonesian Journal of Agrarian Law adheres to a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and academic contribution of all submitted manuscripts. In this model, both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are concealed throughout the review process. This approach is designed to promote objectivity, minimize bias, and uphold the highest standards of scholarly evaluation.
Each manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes an initial screening by the editorial team to assess its alignment with the journal's focus and scope, as well as its basic academic and ethical standards. Submissions that meet these criteria are then forwarded to a minimum of two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their academic credentials, research expertise, and familiarity with the subject matter of the manuscript.
The review process typically involves a critical assessment of the manuscript’s originality, theoretical and methodological rigor, relevance to the field of agrarian law, clarity of presentation, and contribution to scholarly discourse. Reviewers are asked to provide constructive feedback, make specific recommendations for improvement, and render a clear recommendation: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. The final decision on publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers' evaluations and the overall merit of the manuscript.
To maintain transparency and ethical standards, The Indonesian Journal of Agrarian Law adheres to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors and reviewers are expected to declare any potential conflicts of interest, and all parties involved in the review process are required to maintain confidentiality. The journal is committed to fostering a fair, timely, and academically sound review process that supports the advancement of knowledge in the field of agrarian law.
