MIGRATION OFFICIAL STATEMENT HERE

Piwulang: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jawa is an open-access journal managed by the Javanese Language and Literature Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Semarang State University. The first published issue of Volume 1, No. 1 in 2013 had 10 article. Piwulang: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jawa is published twice yearly in June and November. Piwulang: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jawa has an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) in both print and electronic versions, p-ISSN 2252-6307 (printed version) and e-ISSN 2714-867X (electronic version). 

Piwulang provides comprehensive coverage of the research and theory dealing with issues in Javanese Language Teaching for diverse education genres, including formal and informal education. The Journal links the notions of Javanese education not only as parts of studying Javanese language and literature but also embracing Javanese cultures.

Piwulang welcomes articles from academics, researchers, professionals, consultants, educators, practitioners, students, and any writers to contribute to exchanging the results of the empirical and theoretical research study of Javanese language teaching. To check their quality and validity, submitted manuscripts will be evaluated and selected by competent reviewers from various reputable universities. Manuscripts accepted for publication will be published online on the official website of Piwulang Journal and printed ISSN versions. The authors of accepted manuscripts will receive notifications related to the issue of published journals.

Piwulang: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jawa has been nationally accredited by the Ministry of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia and received a SINTA 3  rating, valid until Volume 1 of 2026 by the DECREE OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF HIGHER EDUCATION, RESEARCH, AND TECHNOLOGY OF THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, CULTURE, RESEARCH, AND TECHNOLOGY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA NOMOR 177/E/KPT/2024.

In this edition, Piwulang presents a series of scholarly contributions that collectively advance the discourse on Javanese language, literature, and pedagogy through both traditional and contemporary lenses. The articles featured in this issue examine diverse aspects of language education, ranging from the analysis of character education programs and gender relations in classical texts to the exploration of creative media such as music videos and interactive learning tools. Studies on language stratification in rural East Java, the integration of the TPACK framework in Tembang Macapat instruction, and the application of cooperative learning models for Nyurat Lontar skills underscore the importance of contextualized and collaborative approaches in sustaining language vitality. Complementing these pedagogical innovations are contributions on literacy development through storytelling, the design of digital applications for academic administration, and playful methods for script learning, which highlight the role of technology and creativity in enhancing accessibility and engagement. Taken together, the research in this edition provides valuable insights and practical strategies for educators, researchers, and policymakers committed to strengthening regional language education while fostering equity, innovation, and cultural preservation.
