STRATEGI GURU DALAM MENGATASI KESULITAN BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS DI SMP N 2 KEMUSU BOYOLALI

Abstract
This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy in overcoming student learning difficulties in social studies subjects at SMP N 2 Kemusu Boyolali. The results showed that the learning difficulties experienced by students were difficulties in understanding the material, difficulties in memorizing the material, and boring learning. Factors that affect student learning difficulties are internal factors, including (1) health, (2) interest in learning, (3) lack of motivation to learn, (4) the number of subject matter. External factors include (1) lack of motivation from parents, (2) student environment that is less supportive in learning, (3) underutilized school infrastructure and (4) teachers are less precise in choosing methods and media in the teaching and learning process. While the results of the analysis of the teacher's strategy in overcoming student learning difficulties indicate that the teacher seeks to motivate, guide, and evaluate learning.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP N 2 Kemusu Boyolali. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kesulitan belajar yang dialami peserta didik adalah kesulitan dalam memahami materi, kesulitan dalam menghafal materi, pembelajaran yang membosankan. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar peserta didik yaitu faktor internal meliputi (1) kesehatan, (2) minat belajar, (3) kurangnya motivasi belajar, (4) banyaknya materi pelajaran. Faktor eksternal meliputi (1) kurangnya motivasi dari orangtua, (2) lingkungan peserta didik yang kurang mendukung dalam belajar, (3) sarana prasarana di sekolahan yang kurang dimanfaatkan (4) guru kurang tepat dalam memilih metode serta media dalam proses belajar mengajar. Sedangkan hasil analisis strategi guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar peserta didik menunjukan bahwa guru berupaya dalam memberi motivasi, membimbing, dan evaluasi pembelajaran.
