Archiving Policy

Universitas Negeri Semarang, as the publisher of the Indonesian Journal of Criminal Law Studies (IJCLS), supports the open access journal model and permits the self-archiving of accepted and published manuscripts. Authors retain the copyright to their scholarly work and may archive the preprint, accepted manuscript (postprint), or publisher's version/PDF in personal or institutional repositories and libraries without requiring permission from the journal or publisher.

Authors of articles published in IJCLS may deposit their accepted manuscripts or the version of record (published article) in institutional and/or centrally organized repositories. These materials may be made publicly available immediately upon acceptance or publication, as applicable, provided that IJCLS and its publisher, Universitas Negeri Semarang, are acknowledged as the original place of publication and the correct citation details are supplied.

Self-Archiving of Accepted Manuscripts

Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors who make the accepted article publicly available should include the following statement:

This article has been accepted for publication in the Indonesian Journal of Criminal Law Studies, published by Universitas Negeri Semarang.

Archiving of Published Articles

Authors may make their published articles publicly available immediately after publication in repositories, libraries, or on personal websites without obtaining additional permission from the journal, provided that they:

  • Deposit the PDF version of the published article.
  • Include the URL of the article as published on the IJCLS website.
  • Cite the journal name and Universitas Negeri Semarang as publisher.
  • Provide the correct bibliographic citation details.

Digital Archiving and Preservation

To support the long-term preservation of published scholarly content, Universitas Negeri Semarang identifies digital archiving and repository preservation as important components of its open access publishing model. The journal's preservation arrangements should ensure that published content remains accessible to the scholarly community in the event of journal discontinuation or accidental data loss.

The following services and repositories are relevant to the journal's archiving and preservation framework:

SHERPA Romeo

A resource for information about journal and publisher open access and self-archiving policies.

The journal's metadata may be made available to recognized repository services and indexing crawlers to facilitate discovery, access, and preservation of scholarly records. Any specific preservation service or repository participation should be stated as an active arrangement only when it has been confirmed for IJCLS.

IJCLS Archiving Commitment: Authors may self-archive their manuscripts in accordance with this policy, provided that the original publication in IJCLS is properly acknowledged and complete citation information is included. Long-term digital preservation arrangements should be transparently identified and maintained.
