Based on the Rector’s Decree of Universitas Negeri Semarang Number B/258/UN37/HK.02/2026 concerning Academic Supporting Service Tariffs at the Institute for Research and Community Service of Universitas Negeri Semarang for the Year 2026, the Article Processing Charge (APC) for authors from Indonesia is set at IDR 4,000,000. Please note that cross-border transactions may involve discrepancies in the converted amount due to currency exchange rates and administrative or transaction fees.
For authors from outside Indonesia, the applicable APC is subject to a separate fee determination in accordance with the applicable provisions of Universitas Negeri Semarang. The applicable amount for international authors will be communicated through the official APC invoice issued after the manuscript has been declared eligible for publication.
The publication fee charged by the Indonesian Journal of Criminal Law Studies (IJCLS) will be adjusted accordingly. This adjustment will take effect starting from Volume 11 (2026).
In addition to the APC, authors are required to pay a separate proofreading service fee. The amount of the proofreading fee will be communicated to the authors separately via email. Authors may alternatively use other professional proofreading services; however, they are strongly encouraged to use Enago as a substitute for the proofreading facility previously provided by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Negeri Semarang.
Please note that the information above is provided as general information regarding the publication fees applicable to IJCLS. Further details concerning the applicable fees and payment procedures will be provided only after the manuscript has been declared acceptable for publication.
The APC invoice will be issued through the OJS system only after the manuscript has been declared eligible for publication based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the final decision of the editorial team.
For Indonesian authors, the applicable APC is IDR 4,000,000. For international authors, the applicable APC amount will be determined separately and stated in the official APC invoice.
The APC must be paid to the account or payment address designated by Universitas Negeri Semarang, in accordance with the applicable university regulations.
Meanwhile, the proofreading fee is a separate charge and is paid directly to the proofreading service provider. The invoice or payment instructions for proofreading services will therefore be issued by the proofreading service provider itself, not by IJCLS or the journal management.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The APC and proofreading fee are TWO DIFFERENT PAYMENTS and CANNOT be combined into a single payment or invoice.
The APC constitutes the publication fee determined by Universitas Negeri Semarang, while the proofreading fee constitutes a separate service charge imposed by the proofreading service provider.
Authors are therefore required to treat the APC invoice and proofreading invoice as separate payment obligations and must not combine the two payments.
Authors are also advised to carefully verify any payment request they receive. Any additional payment, charge, or fee outside the official APC invoice issued through the IJCLS OJS system and the official payment or invoice system of the designated proofreading service provider shall not constitute a responsibility or liability of the IJCLS editorial team or journal management.
For the avoidance of doubt, IJCLS will only be responsible for information and payment instructions officially communicated through the journal's OJS system for the APC and through the designated proofreading service provider for proofreading services.
